‘Scotland For Decrim’ Deplatformed by Meta

An allied organisation campaigning for the decriminalisation of sex work, Scotland For Decrim, has recently had their Instagram account removed by Meta. They were unsuccessful in appeal and have created a backup account.

Scotland For Decrim are a vital organisation for workers all across Scotland. As well as information, advocacy, research, and events, they were absolutely crucial in protesting the introduction of the Nordic Model, and promoting awareness of the reality of what the bill really means for sex workers.

You can also report a problem on Instagram by going to profile, the three 3 lines in the top right, click help and tap report a problem. From there you can tell Instagram that the scotland4decrim page has disappeared if you’d like to do something extra.

This has been a devastating blow as the next phase of our campaigning draws near, but we will look to rebuild as quickly as possible and appreciate everyone’s support if you can help spread the word.
