NUM Submission to the Home Affairs Select Committee
19 July 2021
This post is an archived post from our previous website, and was originally published on 22nd February 2016.
The Home Affairs Select Committee are conducting an inquiry into sex work. We are very concerned that the inquiry which seeks to “assess whether the balance in the burden of criminality should shift to those who pay for sex rather than those who sell it” is founded on a biased premise with biased terms of reference.
We also commissioned a survey of sex workers and support projects to inform our response and ensure that our members’ views were reflected throughout.
