We are delighted to nominated for the SCVO Charity Awards for 2024!

Our work providing services for sex workers at NUMbrella Lane in Glasgow has been recognised in the Community Impact category, and we are also in the running for the People’s Choice award, which is decided by you!

In 2023:
  • We welcomed 281 sex workers through our doors at NUMbrella Lane, where they were able to access harm reduction supplies, a food bank, a clothing swap, language support, events, and build connections with others
  • Our Scotland victim support caseworker provided support to 48 sex workers following harm, including supporting 19 sex workers to share information either anonymously with the police intelligence, or to make a full report
  • We began hosting monthly drop-ins in Edinburgh alongside our regular Glasgow sessions
  • We provided 154 hours of language support to sex workers in Spanish, Portuguese, Urdu and Punjabi
  • Members were able to attend 11 events to come together and create community, including music festivals, art exhibitions, film screenings and more!
Members shared that NUMbrella Lane has improved their mental health and sense of community:

“I’m grateful for the space that NUMbrella Lane provides. It stops me feeling so alone.”

Being able to spend time with colleagues at a music gig allowed me to mentally switch off from work and simply focus on the art and music we got to experience in that moment. It was fun experiencing something new that I wouldn’t have had the means to go to otherwise. Thank you for this!”

We are proud to have been recognised alongside 38 other individuals and organisations across Scotland who are working to improve lives and communities.

Voting for the People’s Choice Award closes at 5pm on Friday 24th May 2024.
